Favorite Authors

These Authors are my all time heroes and Role models.  I look up to them and hope to be as good as they are someday.  But for now I'll just get everyone else hooked on them too!

  •  Richelle Mead: Urban Fantasy writer. Author of The Georgina Kincaid Series, The Vampire Academy Series, the Dark Swan Series, and the bloodlines series.  I was lucky enough to meet Richelle in Portland on August 9th 2010.

  •  Bree Despain: YA writer.  Author of The Dark Divine, and soon The Lost Saint.  I love Bree's style of writing, and I love that she's from Utah it makes me feel close to Greatness and awesome talent.  I found Bree because her Dad Married my husband and I.  I fell in love with The Dark Divine and finished it in 2 days.

  • Brodi Ashton: YA Writer.  Author of Everneath.  Everneath was the very first ARC I ever read, and let me tell you, it's one of the best books I've seen in a while!  a for sure MUST read for everyone! Brodi also runs one of the funniest and most random Blogs, its one of my favorites!

  • Ally Condie: YA writer. Author of Matched trilogy. Freshman for president. Being sixteen and the Yearbook triliogy.   Ally is another local to Utah Author and all though I've only read Matched so far she's making my favorite list because it was amazing! I love her blog and following her on twitter as well.

  • Maggie Stiefvater: YA writer.  Author of Lament, Ballad, Shiver, Linger, and up next: Forever. I love following Maggie on Twitter, she has an awesome sense of humor and seems to always have fun.  I enjoy how Maggie can write from different points of views and keep it easy to understand.

  • J.K. Rowling: YA writer. Author of the Harry Potter Series, and the tales of Beedle the Bard.  I wouldn't have my need and love for reading if it weren't for the Harry Potter Series, its a huge part of my reading history, as it is with most people now a days I'm sure.

  •  Stephenie Meyer: YA writer. Author of the twilight saga, and the Host.  Stephenie started my love for the super natural.  and as you can see from the above authors I really like the super natural stories.

  • Dan Brown: Historical Fiction writer.  Author of Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, The digital Fortress, and Deception Point. Dan Browns ability to put so much History and research into his novels is what intrigued me the most about him.  His novels take me a little more time to read but I love every second of them.

  • Ann Brashares: YA writer.  Author of the sisterhood of the traveling pants Series.  I feel like Ann has a lot of the same writting style as me so its easy to relate to her books.  I however hated the movies, I felt like they weren't true to the books at all, I guess thats what you get for craming 4 books into 2 movies.
